Development of PLC logic and SCADA application for control of a flour batching system for one of the largest flour milling companies in Asia.
FLOUR BATCHING SYSTEM FOR ASIAN FLOUR MILL

This project required the development of the PLC Logic and SCADA application for control of a batching system designed and supplied by Satake Australia. The system, as part of the overall electrical contract awarded to Jenkins Electrics, consisted of a Siemens S7-300 PLC system controlled by a SCADA Application developed in WinCC V6.0.

The system was required to weigh up to Four bulk ingredients and Four Micro ingredients into a 2 Tonne mixer. The Ingredients were then blended and pneumatically conveyed to a silo for packing. The system needed to dose ingredients with an accuracy of better than 0.5%, at a rate of at least 30 Tonnes per hour. Both of these specifications were easily achieved.

The SCADA system provided visualisation of the process equipment, allowing the operator to zoom into specific areas of the plant to monitor status and manually control equipment where required. An extensive reporting system as developed to provide the client with detailed analysis of accuracy, rates, and utility costs associated with each batch produced.
